Ministry of Agriculture failed to absorb billions of tenge in subsidies

In the report of the Supreme Audit Chamber it was noted that 4,5 billion tenge of budget subsidies were not spent because of untimely adoption of regulations, reports World of NAN.

The Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeyev explained why the money was not spent last year 2022.

"At the end of 2022, 4.5 billion tenge were not disbursed. These funds were intended to finance the purchase of Valmont navigation systems for farmers and finance the preparation of infrastructure," he said.

According to the minister, the program was planned to be implemented under the agreement concluded with Valmont, and the state authorities had questions in the process of implementation of this agreement - on the terms and level of obligations that the parties undertook under this agreement.

"Last year and this year we've been continuing the negotiation process, the issue is taking a long time. We are reviewing these terms of the agreement and negotiating with the foreign investor. As for the 4.5 billion tenge, they were provided as part of the clarification of the budget, "- added Yerbol Karashukeyev.
