The Ministry of Agriculture plans to increase the quota for live cattle exports

The Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Aidarbek Saparov, has said they are considering increasing the quota for live cattle exports, World of NAN reports.

"In terms of meat. The average price is 2,485 tenge for beef. The price, on the contrary, is even falling, today you don't know where to sell even. That is why we are now thinking of increasing quotas. We have 60 thousand heads, maybe we'll increase it, in order to make sales and support farmers this year," - said the Minister at a briefing in the Government.

Farmers believe that the agency should abandon export restrictions altogether. As it will open additional opportunities for the livestock industry. Livestock breeders earn much more on exports, and the extra money can be invested in the industry, increasing the number and quality of livestock.
