The Ministry of Agriculture will increase subsidies, but not for farmers

Agriculture Minister Yerbol Karashukeyev told at a government meeting how the ministry plans to implement the instructions from the President's message, World of NAN reports with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture.

Thus, for the transition from primary production to the production of products of higher processing levels, incentive measures will be developed for the advancement of deep processing of agricultural products by increasing the norms of investment subsidies up to 50%, as well as revising tax policy.

In order to renew the machinery and tractor fleet this year, the President instructed to study the issue of allocation of 20 billion tenge from the funds of "Zhasyl Damu" for leasing of agricultural machinery of domestic production. In addition, 20 billion tenge has been allocated to finance forage harvesting equipment and mobile irrigation systems. Also, the volume of preferential leasing of agricultural machinery through Kazagrofinance JSC is planned to increase in the future.

A comprehensive plan for the development of breeding and seed production for 2024-2028 will be approved, providing for measures to create a system of domestic breeding adapted to climate change, information system traceability of seeds and planting material.

A mechanism of commodity interventions in the market of agricultural products is being worked out by Prodkorporatsiya. It will also assist the private market in creating a full-fledged network of production, storage and marketing of agricultural products by introducing a tripartite forward purchase at fixed prices for processors.
