The Ministry of Agriculture will reduce the budget for livestock and crop production

Yesterday there was an order on re-approval of budget programs of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RK for 2023-2025. The last time this document was revised was July 26, 2023. Some points turned out to be quite interesting, reports World of NAN.

It is planned to spend a little more than 28.4 billion tenge on "Services for planning, regulation, management in the sphere of agriculture and land use" or simply put, on the cost of maintaining the ministry, which is 50.6 million tenge higher than the previous version of the budget. At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture planned to reduce expenditures on information systems and capex by 51.8 million tenge, but increase the current administrative expenses of the ministry by 102 million tenge.

It should also be noted that there is a significant decrease in the allocated money for livestock (down 2.3 billion) and crop production (-1.2 billion). The order explains this by the adjustment of the national budget. As a result, the most affected will be anti-epizootic measures, for which it was decided to save 2.12 billion tenge. Also, the following budget subprograms were affected in crop production: targeted transfers on sugar beet (-300 million), reimbursement of expenses of Prodkorporatsiya on storage of grain stocks (-100 million), as well as plant protection and quarantine (-91.6 million).

But the Ministry of Agriculture managed to get money for new programs, which were not included in the previous version. First of all, these are targeted transfers to drought-affected agribusiness entities of Zhambyl region in the amount of 3.68 billion tenge from the emergency reserve of the Government. This money will cover 392 subjects, and the area of damage was estimated at 9.23 thousand hectares.

Two more budget programs were added, which were not present in the previous version of the document: "Provision of basic financing of subjects of scientific and (or) scientific-technical activity" and "Provision of advanced training of civil servants". These programs will receive KZT1.06 bln and KZT69.5 mln respectively.
