The Ministry of Agriculture has again introduced changes to the subsidy rules. This time, the changes are related to crop production: they introduce counterclaims for subsidy recipients, World of NAN reports with reference to the ministry.
The changes envisage determining the effectiveness of agricultural subsidies by introducing counter obligations aimed at increasing the volume of gross output of the agro-industrial complex in monetary terms.
"This means that agricultural producers who receive subsidies to increase yield and quality of their produce will now have to fulfil certain obligations to increase and sustain production. Their efficiency will be assessed by the monetary value of the produced products," the Ministry of Agriculture said.
Information on the fulfilment of obligations will be recorded in the State Information System of subsidies. If a producer fails to fulfil his obligations for two consecutive years, he will lose the right to receive subsidies.
