Global food prices will rise by 2-4% per year

Environmentalists in a study have come to disappointing conclusions, the cost of food will rise every year due to climate change, World of NAN reports.

Scientists came to this conclusion after studying the prices of food and other goods, temperature and various climatic factors in 121 countries since 1996.

And inflationary pressure on food will be stronger in regions where it is hotter. Europe and North America may not be affected as much as the Global South.

According to scientists, climate change will most threaten crops such as: soybeans, olives, rice, potatoes and cocoa. The banana industry will also be significantly affected.

According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), all major global climate records were broken last year. But according to climate scientists, 2024 could be even worse.
