Dairy farms, poultry farms will be built in Zhetysu region

The region will replicate the experience of the North Kazakhstan Region in financing investment projects in the industry through the SEC. Already 14 projects worth 27.9 billion tenge have applied for preferential crediting, reports World of NAN.

New dairy farms and poultry farms will open. According to Yerbol Karashukeyev, this will help in import substitution and saturation of the domestic market with certain types of socially important food products.

The Minister also said that 1.5 billion tenge is planned to be allocated to Zhetysu region within the project to increase incomes of rural population. About 400 villagers and agricultural cooperatives of the region will be able to get preferential micro-credits to create or develop their businesses.

The minister discussed the draft of new rules of subsidizing and preparation for the upcoming spring field campaign with agricultural producers. In particular, this year it is planned to sow 519 thousand hectares in the region. Grain and leguminous crops will occupy 308,6 thousand hectares, oil crops - 95,4 thousand hectares, vegetables and melons - 9,4 thousand hectares and forage crops - 85,6 thousand hectares.

At the end of the meeting the Minister of Agriculture awarded the farmers who made a special contribution to the development of the industry with certificates of appreciation and letters of gratitude. In Zhetysu region the awards were given to Tanzharyk Zhaibosynov - head of the farm "Ernazar", Talgat Kunzharikov - head of the farm "Kunzharikov T", Ulan Sarpekov - head of the farm "Aigerim", Askar Zhazylbekov - head of agricultural enterprise "Zhazylbekov and Co", as well as Serik Abykanov - head of the farm "Abykan".
