In order to prevent "gray imports", the Ministry of Agriculture has extended the restriction on import of wheat by road transport into Kazakhstan for another six months, World of NAN reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
"In order to exclude "gray import" of wheat, the order of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan from September 26, 2023, extended the ban on import of wheat by road transport to the territory of Kazakhstan from October 11 this year for a period of 6 months," the ministry said.
In addition, from September 26, 2023, a ban for 6 months on the import of wheat by rail, except for the import of grain intended for licensed elevators, as well as grain processing and poultry enterprises.
It should be noted that the restrictions imposed on imports by rail do not apply to transit transportation through the territory of Kazakhstan.
