The Ministry of Agriculture will temporarily abolish "electronic field maps" in the EGISS

This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture Y. Karashukeyev during a meeting with agricultural producers of Turkestan region. Farmers were particularly interested in the gaps in the subsidy system Gosagro.kz, reports World of NAN.

Regarding the work of the subsidy system Gosagro.kz, the Minister of Agriculture reminded that all incoming complaints and suggestions are worked out and eliminated promptly. Also the day before in Turkestan region special work group of the Ministry has explained and trained the farmers and employees of the Office of Agriculture of the region to work in the EGISS system.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, farmers of the region are concerned about the speed of digitization of the fields. The head of the department commented on this aspect of the system.

""Work has been done with responsible employees of "Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary" JSC. At the same time the order on temporary cancellation of "electronic field card" until the end of this year will be approved in the nearest future", - Yerbol Karashukeyev noted.

In general, since the start of reception of applications in the system according to the rules of subsidizing across the country 14,016 applications have been submitted for a total amount of 160.9 billion tenge, the Minister said. All data is freely available on the portal.

With regard to the problematic issues of cotton farmers, the Minister explained that the state has no right to interfere in the issue of pricing of raw cotton. At the same time, the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition is investigating the pricing of cotton by cotton mills. In case of confirmation of collusion, measures will be taken within the framework of the current legislation.

"It is planned to make changes in the Rules of crop farming subsidizing in part of possibility for akimat of region to determine list of priority crops subsidized from the local budget on the basis of research institute conclusion and by agreement with Ministry of Agriculture.

Also on the special control of the ministry are the problematic issues of greenhouses. "After acceptance of new rules of subsidizing, in case Akimat of Turkestan region will define vegetables of greenhouse cultivation as priority cultures, there will be a possibility to subsidize their production. To provide targeted support to producers of greenhouse vegetables a mechanism for subsidizing the cost of electricity and gas was worked out," - the Minister added. According to the proposed mechanism, farmer greenhouses to receive subsidies will have to meet production standards, which will be adopted in the near future.
