A mobile application for owners of livestock will be launched in Kazakhstan starting June 1 this year. The project was developed by the Ministry of Agriculture together with the analytical center for economic policy in the agro-industrial complex, reports World of NAN.
The application will help to expand the base of farm animals, each owner of an animal (farms, LLP, private farm, etc.) can take an inventory of their livestock. Thanks to this, veterinarians will be able to carry out veterinary preventive measures in a timely and complete manner.
"The application works on a smartphone both online and offline. If there is no internet, the data will be updated as soon as the app is connected to the network. Through the program it will also be possible to obtain a veterinary passport, and in the future to make procedures for the purchase and sale of livestock, to replace the tag if lost, as well as to remove the animal from the register after slaughter, "- commented in the Ministry of Agriculture.
Specialists believe that "TortTulik" will become a kind of information hub for villagers. The app includes features for sending out the latest industry news, notifications of upcoming vaccinations and more.
"As the app is updated, a section for meat buyers will be introduced. In the tab "sogym.kz" Kazakh people will be able to order a carcass of an animal that has passed veterinary inspection directly from an agricultural producer," added the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
While "TortTulik" will be available for download in Android Playmarket, the developers will later adapt the application for smartphones on iOS. It should be noted that 1.5 million livestock owners across the country will be potential users of the mobile program.
