Taxes on agricultural land have increased a hundredfold

Kostanai farmers have faced a problem, as taxes on agricultural land within the boundaries of the settlement have increased a hundred times, reports World of NAN with reference to the NCE.

For example, Nadezhdinka LLP found themselves defendants in a case on forcing them to conclude an additional agreement to the land lease contract, after which the land tax will increase from 120 thousand tenge to 50 million tenge.

In this situation were more than 70 business entities in Kostanay region, which received notices of revision of the tax on agricultural land within populated areas.

The Ministry of Finance reported that the draft of the new Tax Code provides a solution to this issue, as the new version includes a provision allowing to pay the tax hectaristically, as it was previously. That is, farmers will be able to pay the same tax rate. But if the lawsuits are not withdrawn, the Prosecutor's Office and NCE Atameken will support the position of business in court.
