The Netherlands invests in the production of planting material

Kazakhstan plans to build a highly automated enterprise for growing virus-free planting material using artificial intelligence, World of NAN reports with reference to lsm.kz.

The project will be implemented by the National Agrarian Scientific and Educational Centre together with the Dutch engineering group of companies Viscon.

The enterprise will be built and opened on the basis of pomological garden in Almaty region. Here they want to produce virus-free planting material of fruit, berry, nut, ornamental crops and grapes.

The preliminary cost is about 10 billion tenge, the volume of investments is still being discussed. The project is to be implemented in 2024-2026. Pre-project works are planned for this year, in 2025-2026 - construction and installation works.
