Breeding of Norwegian trout, rainbow trout, sturgeon is taught in the south

Fishery development in Zhambyl Region is focused on aquaculture. It is particularly well developed in the Korday district, reports World of NAN.

Local akimat told that Sortobinsk rural district has a rather powerful fish farming fund, thanks to which, in the coming years, fish farming should become one of the drivers of the district economy.

There are two large fish farms here - Korday Fish LLP and Taraz Eko Fish LLP, which are included in the regional Industrialization Map. Within the framework of the industrial-innovative development program 2020-2025, the enterprises will be provided with state support for their further development.

"Korday Fish" LLP breeds trout of two species - rainbow and amber. The trout farm now occupies about four hectares on the bank of a running pond, where water comes from springs. Ten pools are located here. Production capacity is up to 300 tons of marketable fish a year. This year it is planned to grow 180 tons of fish.

"The project on the cultivation of Norwegian, rainbow trout, sturgeon in the LLP "Taraz Eko Fish" started in 2022. The design production capacity is up to 200 tons per year. It is planned to reach it by 2025. At the end of this year, it is expected to receive more than 60 tons of fish products", - noted the press service of the akim.
