A new grain monitoring system will start working in Russia

It will be possible to sell grain in Russia, export or import it only after registration in the FSIS "Zerno" system, World of NAN reports with reference to agroxxi.ru.

New federal state information system of traceability of grain and its products will start working in Russia in 2022: from July 1 - in testing mode, and from September 1 registration and provision of information in FSIS "Zerno" will be obligatory. The Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Agroanalytics" was approved as the system operator.

The new system was created in order to ensure transparency of the grain market, facilitate quality control of finished products and reduce the number of inspections of commodity producers. The system will include information on producers, owners, transporters of grain, storage facilities, information on batches of grain and its products, consumer properties of grain, etc. Thus, the state monitoring will control the volume and quality of grain from the field to the consumer.

By September 1, 2022, during harvesting period companies involved in the production, storage, transportation and sale of grain and its products are required to register in FSIS "Zerno" and enter the data. It will be possible to sell grain on the territory of Russia, export or import only after registration in this system.
