A new breed of horses has been bred in Abay region

A new breed of Kazakh horse called beskaragai appeared in Beskaragai district of Abay region, World of NAN reports referring to Tengrinews.

The peculiarity of the new kind of horses, which have been named shoyinkara and baitory, is that they are taller than the standard, larger, more fleshy and dairy, they are stronger and more enduring, in addition to being resistant to all weather conditions.

"We are proud that this horse was first trained on Kazakh soil. The Turkmens have an Akhalteke horse, the Arabs have thoroughbred horses. "Who are we second to?", "Why don't we have such a noble breed of horses?", I have been asking these questions for a very long time. That dream only came true 40 years later. Last year the state commission of the Ministry of Agriculture came and carried out approbation of new type of the Kazakh horses. At the end of the tests the commission said that these horses are 25% more productive than other breeds of horses in our country," said the head of the Beskaragai thoroughbred stud farm, Khabidulla Mukinov.

The Beskaragai horse, which was born through cross-breeding of the Mugalzhar and Kabas breeds, is larger than usual. The weight of the breeding mare exceeds half a ton. The weight of the sire stallion is up to 700 kilograms.
