To increase the capacity of the country's railroads on the so-called "bottlenecks", the MID of the Republic of Kazakhstan plans to implement three key infrastructure projects by 2025, World of NAN reports referring to the agency.
The first of them is Dostyk-Moyinty project. Its implementation will increase the volume of transit traffic between China and Europe. The throughput capacity of the section should be increased up to 5 times, and the speed of transportation should be increased from 800 to 1,500 kilometers per day.
The project "Darbaza - Maktaaral" will reduce the transit distance to the countries of Central Asia, as well as provide access to Uzbekistan through the existing border crossing point.
The third project - "Bypass railway line of Almaty station" - will reduce the load on the Almaty hub by 30% and reduce the delivery time of goods to 24 hours.
