Every farmer dreams of such a wife

In Zhambyl region, a 22-year-old girl learned to drive a tractor to help her husband with his work, World of NAN reports with reference to 24.kz.

Guldana Payyz, a resident of Ornek village, is as good a tractor driver as any mechanic. The girl learned to drive heavy machinery 3 months ago. Now together with her husband she goes out for haying and helps her parents to develop their joint farm.

"My husband did not have time to work the tractor. Relatives were busy and no one could help. So he had to teach me. Of course, it was a little difficult, but soon I got used to it and now confidently operate heavy machinery. Now we help our neighbors to store hay for a fee," says Guldana.

Now Guldana is a college student, specializing in agricultural mechanization. All the knowledge she has gained is being put into practice. There are 20 other girls studying together with her.

The tractor operator specialty is in demand on the labor market, teachers say.

"Along with guys, girls are also interested in the tractor operator's profession. They are trained in 3 specialties of agricultural direction. They also come from other districts to study. Training is free of charge. Students are provided with a hostel and paid a stipend. It takes at least a year to learn to drive a tractor well, and Guldana only needed a few months, which is an excellent indicator," said Zhetpis Mikybayev, a teacher at Zhambyl College No. 17.
