Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture has published an order on the Open Regulatory Legal Acts Portal banning the import of wheat by road, water and rail transport, World of NAN reports.
The ban will be in effect for six months for the import of wheat into the territory of Kazakhstan from third countries and from the Eurasian Economic Union.
The exception will be the import of wheat by rail to poultry and flour milling enterprises. At the same time, enterprises are prohibited to sell wheat on domestic and foreign markets.
The ban does not apply to wheat imported into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the framework of rail transit transportation, beginning and ending outside the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
