KTZh is working on the optimal route to Europe

In order to ensure continuous delivery of cargo to Europe, the question of reorientation and increasing the volume of traffic through the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TCITR) in the direction of the ports of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkmenbashi is being actively worked out, World of NAN reports with reference to the press-service of KTZh. 

Regular feeder lines in the direction of the Caspian Sea ports provide shippers with optimal logistics solutions. They will enable the quickest and most cost-effective delivery of cargo to the world markets in Europe, the Middle East and the Caucasus.

The initiative to create a joint venture to promote the TCITR was supported in order to effectively address the issues of through-tariffing, synchronization of customs procedures and application of unified information systems.

Routes across the Caspian basin have considerable potential for Kazakhstan. The infrastructure, technical armament and modern technological transshipment processes possessed by the port of Aktau are capable of meeting customers' needs for safe and prompt handling of virtually any type of cargo, including containers, grain cargo, oil products, and other general and bulk cargoes.
