WDC and municipal market to be built in Aktau

During his recent visit to the Mangistau region, the President of the country noted a high rise in prices and ordered to solve the issue of price containment through the construction of a wholesale and municipal market. The projects of a municipal market and a wholesale and distribution center were recently presented to the regional Akimat, Nurlan Nogayev, World of NAN reports citing the press service of the Akimat.

The new facilities will be built in the 36th residential district of Aktau by private investors.

The project of LLP "Aktau Auto Warehouse" will consist of two functional zones - trade and warehouse. The total area of the land plot is 15 hectares. Of these, the area of the communal market will be 9-10 hectares. At the same time on the territory of 2000 m2 there will be pavilions where farmers will be able to sell their products without intermediaries and without paying for the rental of premises. The volume of retail and warehouse space 20000 m2. The number of potential tenants - 500 people. Investments in the project amount to 1.5 billion tenge.

On the territory of the market there will be a bus terminal with a capacity of 750 places for cars and public urban transport. As well as a passenger terminal with a capacity of 500 people at a time.

Another project - the Aktau wholesale distribution center will organize the wholesale trade of food products for retail markets, stores, restaurants and other businesses. Thus, by eliminating the intermediary link and ensuring guaranteed sales of products of local producers it is expected to reduce the price of food products. Investments in the project amount to 1.8 billion tenge. The total area of the land plot is 12 hectares. The number of potential tenants, namely large and medium wholesalers - 300 people. There will be refrigeration equipment and storage facilities for entrepreneurs.

Completion of the projects is planned for 2023.

Nurlan Nogayev gave a positive assessment of the ongoing work, and stressed the need to involve large entrepreneurs in the work to stabilize prices on the food market. The head of the region noted that concerted actions of government agencies and business entities will have a positive multiplier effect on the economy of the region.
