MP proposes to release farmers from taxes

Majilis deputy Karakat Abden proposes to release farmers from all kinds of taxes and payments. The corresponding request was sent to the Prime Minister of the country, reports World of NAN.

According to the deputy, the country needs new approaches to support the agricultural sector. Taxes, in addition to their fiscal function, have a stimulating function in order to develop the economy of the country. However, our country often forgets about the stimulating function of taxes.

"It should be taken into account that no more than 50 billion tenge is received from all agricultural entities in the country in the form of taxes per year. This is less than 0.5 percent of all tax revenues. A small tax write-off will in some time have a profitable economic effect and will return to the budget in significantly higher revenues, including in the form of foreign exchange earnings," the deputy said.

According to Karakat Abden, food security is a key element of the country's national security. To ensure food security, the state must incur certain costs.
