The company, represented by the General Director of Food Solutions KZ LLP (McDonald's Kazakhstan) Asset Mashanov appealed to entrepreneurs with a proposal to develop local suppliers in the current geopolitical situation. As told in press-service of NCE Atameken, the Committee of technical regulation and metrology of MTI RoK, under the order of vice-premier Serik Zhumangarin, carried out an online meeting on problematic issues of McDonald's with participation of representatives of the state bodies, business and national companies. The main issue of the meeting was to expedite the customs clearance of cargo, obtaining certificates of compliance, veterinary certificates.
"From next week and until the end of the year we will receive cargo from near and far abroad. The process of customs clearance, from experience, unfortunately, often takes a long time and lasts up to one working week. In turn, local producers noted that they are ready to supply their products to McDonald's Kazakhstan.
"I would offer to work together. We have our own poultry farms, which are checked by national laboratories and can deliver quality products. Logistics would be cheaper. Producers have all the certificates," Ruslan Sharipov, Chairman of the Union of Poultry Farmers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, suggested.
Vladimir Kozhevnikov, Executive Director of the Dairy Union of Kazakhstan, said entrepreneurs are ready for cooperation.
Yerbol Yeseneyev, director of the Department of Agricultural and Food Industry of NCE Atameken, supported the producers, stressing that McDonald's Kazakhstan can work on domestic products. He added that he is ready to chair the work group on import substitution.
