Egg subsidies canceled: feed became cheaper and prices rose

The Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeyev said at the press conference in the Central Communications Service that the government did not support commodity subsidies for eggs, reports World of NAN.

According to the minister, Kazakhstan fully supplies itself with eggs and even exports these products in the winter.

"In this case, it was decided to suspend this type of subsidy, given that both egg prices have risen and feed has become cheaper. In this regard, this measure of support is not available for the time being. But this does not mean that the Government will not give this money to anyone else. We reorient this money and are ready to give the same poultry farmers in the form of cheap loans, cheaper equipment", - commented Yerbol Karashukeyev.

Egg production fully has access to cheaper loans and investment subsidies. Recall that from 2021 were to remove commodity-specific subsidies for one egg by 3 tenge. But then the industry agreed, and the issuance of subsidies was extended. This year there will be no such support, but the Minister assures that they will work with the Association and consider how they can help the egg direction of poultry.
