Cargo transportation to China using a new service offered by railway company

A new method of cargo transportation by rail became available for small and medium exporters. The LCL service allows a shipper to reserve only part of a container, World of NAN reports, citing the press service of KTZh.

The first LCL cargo (less than container load) has already been shipped from Almaty station from the terminal of Kedentransservice JSC to the Chinese city of Xi'an. The 40-foot container contains cargoes of three Kazakhstani companies. The container will reach its destination in 10 days. The shipment is organized by KTZh Express JSC in cooperation with QazTrade JSC.

"Our project offers Kazakhstan exporters a stable and regular service for the delivery of goods to the PRC at competitive prices," said Yerlan Tulendiyev, branch manager of KTZh Express - Southern.

LCL carriage allows the shipper to reduce delivery costs: transport as much as the exporter needs without overpaying. It also simplifies loading and unloading operations at transshipment points. Thus, the container is moved from the Kazakh to the Chinese fitting platform, and then from Xi'an the cargo is shipped to any point in China.
