Prime Minister instructed to restart the work of the veterinary

At the meeting of the Government the Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov criticized the FMD situation in the country, World of NAN reports referring to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Recall that for a long time Kazakhstan could not get the status through the World Organization for Animal Health as a country free from foot and mouth disease.

"This work was planned to be completed in May of this year, but it was not carried out in time. Therefore, approval from the international organization has not been received. This does not allow expansion of the geography of supplies of domestic livestock products, and stimulation of their production," said the Prime Minister.

In his opinion, this indicates the inadequate work of the veterinary service.

"It is necessary to restructure and restart its activities, taking into account the best international practices", - he said.
