The government has allocated 3.8 billion tenge from its reserve to strengthen the country's veterinary service, reports World of NAN with reference to the Cabinet of Ministers.
The funds will be used to equip veterinary laboratories with high-precision equipment - a liquid chromatograph that complies with international recommendations, rules and Codex Alimentarius requirements.
This will make it possible to conduct more accurate and reliable research in the field of veterinary medicine, which will contribute to ensuring the country's food safety. The high-performance liquid chromatograph can detect even the smallest traces of harmful substances in food products. Its use will make a significant contribution to protecting public health from dangerous food-borne diseases.
At the same time, the new equipment will allow Kazakh producers of livestock products, who currently export their goods to dozens of countries around the world, to meet the strict requirements of foreign markets.
