The region plans to open six breeding reproducers and four new cattle complexes this year. Farmers intend to increase production of meat and milk, reports World of NAN.
Askar Sanaubarov, Head of the Department of Agriculture, spoke about the development of the livestock industry.
According to the Head of Department, the region produced 94.4 thousand tons of milk in 4 months, 26.3 thousand tons of meat, about 221 million eggs.
It is noted that the number of livestock, including breeding stock, in farms is growing. This is facilitated by the state support through the Agrocredit Corporation. This year it has already purchased 1742 head of cattle and 2316 horses.
"The work on increasing the proportion of breeding stock by means of breed conversion and stimulation of breeding continues. By 2026 it is planned to realize 43 investment projects with creation of 1350 workplaces in cattle breeding sector. This year ten of them are being implemented: six breeding reproducers and four livestock breeding complexes will be established. Besides, agricultural projects will be financed through Social Entrepreneurial Corporation - construction of two commodity dairy farms is planned by using this mechanism" - Askar Sanaubarov said.
He also talked about the upcoming procurement of fodder for livestock. This season, we need to ensure the need for 1.9 million tons of hay. For this purpose, the region increased sowing of fodder crops.
