Positive changes in the system of subsidizing farmers

The Ministry of Agriculture has amended the rules for subsidizing interest rates on loans to agro-industrial complex entities, World of NAN reports with reference to the ministry.

It should be noted that according to the requirements of the subsidy program, farmers can submit a proposal for inclusion of their loan agreements in the subsidy program within 4 years from the date of receipt of the loan. However, due to the fact that farmers did not immediately submit applications, previously there was a risk that short-term loan agreements could be invalid at the time of receipt of additional budgetary funds.

Therefore, the rules have been amended to provide for the payment of subsidies, including proposals on the waiting list, in respect of which the term of the loan agreement has been completed at the time of conclusion of the subsidy contract. This will make it possible to protect the rights of agribusiness entities when participating in the subsidy program.

The reporting form and the list of goods for crediting and financial leasing for priority projects in the area of production or processing of agricultural products have also been updated.

The new version of the subsidy rules comes into effect on December 10, 2023.
