In the port of Kuryk by the end of 2023 they plan to introduce a grain terminal with a capacity of 1 million tons per year, with a one-time storage of 25 thousand tons of grain crops, reports World of NAN with reference to KTZh.
Cargo transshipment through the port of Kuryk for the first half of 2023 to the level of the previous year increased by 18% and amounted to more than 1 million tons. Oil, metals, chemical products, grain, coal and fertilizers are exported through the port.
The port has four berths: two railroad and two road berths. The 2nd start-up ferry complex is under construction. By the end of this year a grain terminal with annual capacity of 1 million tons with one-time storage of 25 thousand tons of grain crops is planned to be put into operation. The terminal will increase the volume of exports of grain crops in the direction of Kazakhstan - Iran / countries of the Caucasus region and further to third countries.
As part of the development of port infrastructure by 2025 in the port of Kuryk it is planned to build a multifunctional marine terminal "Sarzha", including grain and universal terminals, liquid and general cargo terminals, as well as a transport and logistics center.
