Cattle meat processing project started in Almaty region

Akim of Almaty region told the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about investment projects being implemented in the region, World of NAN reports referring to the press service of Akorda.

Initially, the head of the country visited Mareven Food Tien-Shan LLP. According to the company management, the volume of the invested investments has made more than 30 billion tenge, the area of building has reached 4,5 hectares. It produces food products using innovative equipment and advanced technologies from Switzerland, Japan and Germany. The capacity of the factory is 85 thousand tons of finished products a year.

Currently, the company produces 500 million packages of products, of which about 70% is exported. The organization employs 670 people, 95% of whom are residents of nearby communities.

After, the regional akim Amandyk Batalov reported to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the socio-economic situation in the region and implementation of investment projects.

According to him, 312 bln tenge were invested into regional economy, over 40 thousand jobs were created. This year 65 facilities worth 112 billion tenge are under commissioning.

Amandyk Batalov said that as part of the implementation of agreements reached during last year's visit of Head of State to Germany, the "Baumann" company launched a project "Zhetisu koi" for deep processing of small cattle capacity of 30 thousand tons.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highly appreciated the investment projects implemented in the region and instructed to timely complete their implementation.
