Production in agricultural sector to be launched in Almaty region

According to the regional akimat, new projects in the agro-industrial sector can be launched in 2024-2025, the World of NAN reports referring to LS.

In 2024 a German investor will help launch a meat processing plant for supplementary feeding, slaughter and deep processing of cattle in Iliisky district. Investments in this project will amount to 12,38 billion tenge. Capacity - 30 thousand tons of finished products a year. It will provide jobs for 450 people.

In Uygur district a project on construction of modified starch plant and greenhouse is planned to be implemented until the end of 2024. The total cost - 42.56 billion tenge, the capacity - 200 thousand tons of potatoes, 47 thousand tons of starch, 45 thousand tons of modified starch per year. It can provide jobs for 86 people.

In Konayev, a fishing complex with a capacity of 10 thousand tons of fish per year is being built. The project is estimated at 67,3 billion tenge. The enterprise is expected to employ 500 people.
