More domestic producers of agricultural products will be able to export their goods to the Chinese market. The Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture has secured the inclusion of 200 new agricultural producers in the Register of Enterprises entitled to export to China, World of NAN reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The agency noted that to increase exports of Kazakh agricultural products to the PRC in 2019, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of quarantine of plants. On the basis of this, about 10 protocols of phytosanitary requirements were subsequently signed.
As part of fruitful cooperation with the State Customs Committee of the PRC, 741 Kazakh enterprises are now included in the register of reliable exporters of agro-industrial products to China. At the same time, in January-February 2021, 195 enterprises engaged in the production and processing of soybeans, alfalfa hay, barley, corn, wheat feed flour and bran, flax seeds and flour were included under the guarantee of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
According to the press service, the Ministry of Agriculture is currently continuing negotiations to open exports for Kazakh peas, safflower, lentils, potatoes, oilcake and meal.
"The list of elevators and storages that have the right to ship wheat to China has also been updated. The list now includes more than 120 items, including 54 companies Akmola region, 30 - Kostanay, 34 - North Kazakhstan, 3 - Pavlodar region, "- states the message.
