Russia to unblock agricultural exports

Istanbul agreements on the grain deal will continue to operate after May 18, with one of Russia's conditions - unblocking of Russian exports of agricultural products and raw materials, which was previously imposed by Western countries and Ukraine itself, World of NAN reports citing rosng.ru.

Since yesterday, the parties have been holding bilateral cross and quadrilateral talks at the highest level, which consider the position of all parties on the grain deal. Russia demands fulfillment of a number of conditions contained in the text of the original agreement, taking into account the additional ones, prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

We shall remind you that the original deal was about deliveries of Ukrainian agricultural products to poor countries and resumption of Russian exports (including restoration of the ammonia transit banned by Ukraine) and related services. The Russian Foreign Ministry added to their list the unblocking of accounts of Russian companies involved in the production and transportation of agricultural products and fertilizers, the reconnection of Rosselkhozbank to the international payment system SWIFT, and the resumption of supplies of imported agricultural machinery and spare parts and service for these products that have fallen under Western sanctions.
