Russia plans to set a record in grain exports

According to the International Grains Council, Russia will for the first time occupy almost 26% of the global grain market, World of NAN reports.

In the current agricultural year, the neighboring country is exporting a maximum of 53.1 million tons of wheat in modern history. The previous maximum was recorded in the 2017/18 agricultural year (23.4%).

Overall, global wheat exports are estimated at 205.7 million tons.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Oksana Lut, said that in 2024 the country is setting a record for grain exports; this year it could reach $45 billion. To achieve results, the country needs to develop a fleet of dry cargo ships.
