Russia predicts grain exports of 30-35 million tons in the second half of the year

Grain export from Russia in the second half of the current agricultural year - from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023, may reach 30-35 million tons, World of NAN reports citing rg.

During the meeting with members of the association "National Farmer" First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut shared her forecasts.

She noted that in the first half of the agricultural year, 29 million tons were exported from Russia.

"In the second half of the year we hope to export about 30-35 million tons," the speaker said. Lout called this volume achievable under the current restrictions. She noted that without restrictions, they could count on a larger volume of grain exports.

"Unfortunately, there are situations that prevent us from exporting more. But if we export 30, it will be a good achievement," she added.

Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture reported that grain exports from Russia in 2022-2023 agricultural year (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023) could be 55-60 million tons. There are no plans to reduce the export quota for 2023. The Sub-Commission on Customs and Tariff Regulation of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation supported the increase of the tariff quota for export of grain outside Russia to countries which are not members of the EEU to 25.5 million tons from February 15 to June 30, 2023.
