Russia will return pastures to Kazakhstan

At the moment, there are approximately 352.4 thousand cattle in Kyzylorda Region. They need 4 million hectares of pastures, but there are only 2.6 million hectares in the region, reports World of NAN, referring to LS.

In 28 districts of the region it is impossible to provide residents with places for grazing due to lack of land near settlements. The state agency noted that 1,027 farms have agreed to share their pastures with a total area of 746,400 hectares.

"We received a preliminary agreement from the Russian side to return necessary 60 thousand hectares for two settlements (Akai, Toretam) from the territory leased to the Russian Federation. In the near future, the materials will be submitted for consideration of the intergovernmental commission," added in the Akimat.

Also, the Ministry of Environment offered to allocate 600 thousand hectares of land for the region from the forest fund. These areas are needed for the cattle grazing of 26 settlements. At the same time, 9 thousand hectares of returned unused land are also planned to be allocated for pastures.
