Russia will significantly reduce the export duty on wheat

The Government of the Russian Federation has changed the calculation of export customs duty rates for certain grain crops, World of NAN reports.

For wheat, meslin, barley and corn, the base export prices used in this calculation have been increased by one thousand rubles per ton. They will amount to 18 thousand for wheat and meslin, for barley and corn - 16,875 rubles.

The decision was made in connection with the record grain harvest in 2023 and the sufficient supply of such products to the domestic market. It will reduce export duties by an average of 700 rubles per ton. Thus, Russian grain may be even cheaper on export markets.
