Russian grain producers were short of 130 billion rubles in profits

According to the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Patrushev, the country's grain growers have lost about 130 billion rubles in profit, World of NAN reports.

Patrushev claims that the sanctions have caused a serious increase in transportation costs for exports. Accordingly, exporters have partly shifted these costs to producers. Thus, the profitability of grain producers has almost halved over the year.

"As a result, in the 21st year grain producers made a profit of about 333 billion rubles, and in the 22nd year already 204 billion rubles. Here the lost income or in principle losses, you can call it that, amounted to about 130 billion rubles," - said the Minister.

Recall that last year Russia harvested 156 million tons of grain and exported 60 million tons, of which 48 million tons was wheat. The country's share in the world wheat market amounted to 20%.
