Russian agricultural holding will build a mega greenhouse in Kazakhstan

The agro-industrial holding "ECO-Culture" is already constructing a greenhouse on an area of ​​51 hectares of land with a production volume of more than 28 thousand tons of tomatoes per year, World of NAN reports with reference to the government.

"ECO-culture" is one of the largest agro-industrial holdings for the production of environmentally friendly greenhouse vegetables, which has a 13-year history of stable development. Over the year, the holding's production volume exceeds 300 thousand tons.

The holding is constructing a greenhouse complex in the Kelessky district of the Turkestan region. At the same time, the holding plans to expand the area of ​​the greenhouse complex to cover 500 hectares of land. This will make it possible to grow over 240 thousand tons of vegetables year-round.

The first stage of the project is planned to be put into operation by the end of next year. According to the president of the holding, Alexander Rudakov, this greenhouse will become the largest in the world upon completion. It is planned to create 7 thousand job opportunities.
