The North-Kazakhstan region by 2030 will increase production of marketable fish to 10 thousand tons, World of NAN reports referring to inform.kz.
According to the information of Esil interregional basin inspection of fisheries, there are more than 50 lake-commodity farms in the region, in which 600 tons of fish were grown for a year. More than 50% goes for export to Russia.
"For the development of fish farming in the country a sectoral program, which was designed until 2030, was adopted. The document provides measures of state support. In particular, for those who are engaged in fish farming, there are subsidies in five areas. Thus, compensation of payment for fish planting material will be 50%. It means that expenses of the user of the reservoir, who is engaged in stocking valuable species of fish, will be reimbursed by the state. By the year 2025 it is planned to create a cage farm at Sergeyevsky reservoir, "- the Deputy Head of Inspectorate Marat Yesimseitov stated.
To recall, 500 reservoirs in the region are considered as fishery reservoirs, of which 200 are not being used for this purpose.
