Sugar factory is looking for an investor

In the Alakol district of the Zhetisu region, investors for the rehabilitation of a sugar factory are needed, World of NAN reports with reference to the regional Akimat.

According to the head of the region, Beibit Isabayev, if this plant is launched, its processing capacity will be up to 100,000 tons of raw materials. Akim offered representatives of three international financial institutions to cooperate in this direction.

In general, according to his data, there are four sugar factories in Kazakhstan, two of which are located in the Zhetisu region.

“Both have been well upgraded. Now the Koksu Sugar Plant operates year-round, processes both sugar beet and raw cane,” Isabayev said.

He added that the Aksu sugar factory is undergoing repairs. Also, this enterprise is preparing to introduce a cane processing line. Isabayev added that there is a problem with sugar supply in the region.
