The world's most expensive cow was valued at $4 million.

Brazil sold the most expensive cow in the world, it was valued at $4.3 million dollars, reports World of NAN with reference to newsweek.com.

It is about a 4.5-year-old cow of the Nelore breed named Viatina-19 FIV Mara Imóveis. At the auction, Nelore HRO paid almost R$7 million, or $1.44 million, for the rights to the animal. This amount is only a third of the value of the rights to the cow, which were already partially sold last year. The animal will stay in the buyers' farms temporarily. The total value of the cow eventually reached $4.3 million.

The breed is considered a specimen of high genetic quality and the main "supplier" of marbled beef. It comes from the Indian district of Nellore. The peculiarity of the breed is that they tolerate heat well and can stay without water for a long time. An important point and with nutrition: even with poor-quality feed, cows retain productivity, while not afraid of insect bites and infections.

Nelore cows are also distinctive in appearance: they are bright white with a distinctive hump above the shoulder blades.
