When Turdakhyn Akbayev's health deteriorated, leading to disability, he decided not to sit idly by and start his own business. Thanks to a YouTube channel, he learned how to breed chicks and what is needed for that. And now he is engaged in this business confidently, reports World of NAN.
An entrepreneur from the Koksu district of Jetisu region told representatives of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs about his small business.
According to the page of the Chamber, Turdakhyn Akbayev has been breeding pedigree chickens and manufacturing incubators and brooders for more than seven years.
He raises chickens of a special breed, the Kuchinskaya Jubilee, the Adler, and the Vietnamese Shamo fighting roosters. Chickens of such breeds are able to quickly get used to new conditions and are not afraid of the cold weather. They have a well-developed instinct for self-preservation and stick together in a flock. Today the entrepreneur has his own regular customers.
"I get an order for chickens, I put the required number of eggs in the incubator. The eggs are either brought by the customers themselves, or I buy them myself. For 19 days they lie in the required temperature regime. On days 21-22, the chicks begin to hatch from them and I immediately transfer them to the brooder. I don't feed them for a day, and then I start giving them special fodder and corn chips", said the entrepreneur.
Turdakhyn Akbayev said that one of the best preparations for the young birds is a special food additive consisting of many components, among which are essential amino acids, vitamins and other nutrients that can accelerate the development of chickens and increase their productivity. According to the man, raising birds will be successful if both young birds and adults receive quality feed and vitamins. And the chickens need the most attention, because at this age they are more susceptible to various diseases.
The brooder for chicks has a comfortable temperature. The device is a box with ventilation, doors and a lamp.
"I keep the chicks in the brooder until the owners pick them up. If customers still need a brooder, I make one and give the chicks to them in the brooder. Chicks from the hatchery must be picked up wearing disposable gloves. They have an infection that causes skin irritation. Chicks are kept in the brooder for three months, for the first month and a half they require special care. Then they have to be taken outside in the sun, which helps them not to get sick and to develop faster," says Mr. Akbayev.
The entrepreneur has plans to expand his business. He hopes to reach his goal in the near future and receive support from the Chamber of Entrepreneurs.
