Agricultural lands belonging to Bolat Nazarbayev returned to the state

On the initiative of the Prosecutor's Office of Zhambyl region, the market lands in Kordai district, affiliated with Bolat Nazarbayev, have been returned to the state, reports World of NAN with reference to the agency.

In 2004, by acts of the akimat of Kordai district and the akim of Kordai rural district, LLP "Karasai BN-Taraz", owned by B. Nazarbayev, was given a plot of land with an area of 34,3017 hectares to serve the shopping center "Barys-2".

When granting the land plot, its procedure was violated, namely, part of the land with the area of 22.25 hectares belongs to irrigated arable lands of agricultural purpose, subject to special protection, was transferred for servicing the market.

In this regard, the district prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit in court to recognize as invalid and annul the acts of akimats of the district and rural district, purchase and sale agreements.

The ruling of the judicial board for civil cases of the Zhambyl Regional Court of December 28, 2023 recognized as invalid and canceled the contracts of sale and purchase of plots №81 and №82 dated 24.07.2007 between LLP "Karasai BN-Taraz" and the Department of Land Relations of the Akimat of Kordai district, all contracts of LLP "Kordai Invest" on the gratuitous transfer of land plots.

The court ruling came into legal force on 28.12.2023, state acts on land plots were canceled.
