Today the Rixos Borovoe Hotel hosted the II International Forum on digitalization of agriculture, organized by Eurasia Group Kazakhstan LLP, the number one company in the agricultural sector of the country. The event included an official part, as well as an evening reception for guests with a show-presentation of the market novelty - the John Deere X9 harvesting solution, reports World of NAN.
Recall that the first Digital Forum was organized by Eurasia Group Kazakhstan in 2021. It was a huge success among farmers: about 50 companies visited the event. Since the first forum, the number of hectares of land digitized by the company in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan has increased from 2.3 million to 4.4 million.
The first forum was devoted to theory and getting acquainted with digitalization products, but today there was more talk about the results that have been achieved through the use of digitalization on Kazakhstan's fields. The best practices at the forum were willingly shared by the organizing company, Kazakhstani farmers, and foreign partners.
The idea that today, due to the latest developments, artificial intelligence and automation, we can much more widely discover the agricultural potential of our land, preserving its wealth and fertility for future generations, as well as improving the agricultural business and industry, was the basis of the presentations of all the speakers at the event.
" The digitalization definitely brings with it a fear of the unknown and of change. But it holds the promise of a better life for humanity in general and agriculture in particular. Intelligent machines will solve the problem of personnel shortages, partially replacing human labor and also attracting young professionals to the industry. Digital technology and artificial intelligence will help farmers optimize and control many processes, look into the future and avoid errors in production, increasing the profitability of the business. "Agriculture in Kazakhstan must bridge the digital divide so that technological progress continues and does not meet resistance," said CEO of Eurasia Group Kazakhstan LLP Sergey Glokke.
Eurasia Group Kazakhstan Digital Forum - is a unique event which has no analogues to date.
At the forum the company presented solutions for every area of agriculture, be it plant growing, cattle breeding, vegetable growing, irrigated farming, product storage and much more. But most of the digitalization solutions in the company's portfolio are John Deere technologies - almost all of the machines on the market today are comprehensive, intelligent SMART solutions.
"John Deere doesn't wait for the future; the company creates it all by itself. Today, John Deere is a leader in developing and providing farmers with precision farming solutions to reduce production costs, reduce the application of chemicals and fertilizers, increase yields and easily manage the fleet through digitalization and automation of agriculture. And here, in Kazakhstan, Eurasia Group successfully continues the strategy of John Deere," said Karim Karimov, the area business manager of John Deere.
By the way, the farmers actively shared their own experience of increasing the profitability of production.
"We have 14 John Deere machines on the farm. In 2020, we wondered why the vegetation data had the same traits over several years. Looking for an answer, we digitized field boundaries and began working on a prescription that Eurasia agronomists had prepared for us, based on yield map data created by the John Deere combine and NDVI imagery. This allowed us to identify unproductive zones and reduce seed and fertilizer application rates there, while increasing them on productive zones. This differentiated approach allowed us to save about 8.5 dollars per hectare on seeds and fertilizers, as well as to increase the yield in the productive zones", - said Alexander Zakusulov, the director of "Svobodnoye" LLP.
Among the presented novelties the portable solution for soil analysis by the German company Stenon GmbH caused immense interest. This unique device allows getting accurate data about soil composition in real time and making accurate, and most importantly, timely decisions based on the results.
Unforgettable impression on the guests of the forum was made by the show-presentation of the flagship SMART-solution for the harvesting John Deere X9 - the world's first two-rotor harvester with the capacity of 100 tons per hour, which became the representative of the new era of agriculture, as well as "yellow star" - the first in Kazakhstan electric JCB 525-60E loader. The spectacular closing of the event was a lottery with the drawing of prizes and the fire show on the lake shore.
Creating the future, where the science and innovations improve the agriculture, "Eurasia Group Kazakhstan" together with the farmers carries out the most important mission - "To feed the world!
