A high school student created a robot that talks and pours kumys

Kumys is the brand of the Tolebi district of Turkestan region. In order to use the potential of robotics and to promote the healing properties of this national drink, a Tolebi schoolboy created a robot, reports World of NAN.

As we were told by the press service of the Akimat, the young inventor's name is Zhansultan Torebek. He is a 9th grade student at General Secondary School No. 2 named after Sh. Ualikhanov in Tolebi district. Laura Dzhaksybek, a computer science teacher, accompanied and helped Zhansultan with his project.

The robot that pours kumys was named "Asylbek. Anyone can start talking to the Asylbek robot by putting a special plastic card close to it. The robot is eager to make contact. He talks about the healing properties of kumys, and then pours the thirst-quenching drink into a cup.

"I got interested in robotics a long time ago. The idea of creating such a robot was born during an exhibition organized during the week of informatics in our school. I first shared my desire to create a robot with my teacher Laura apai. She supported my idea, and said she would help me build it," said Zhansultan.

In addition to increasing students' interest in robotics, the robot, according to the author, popularizes healthy lifestyles among young people through kumys.

"We decided that Asylbek should wear national clothes, because it promotes our national drink," Zhansultan said.

The school notes that the young talent's project won prizes at the district and regional stages of the contest of scientific inventions.
