In the southern half of Kazakhstan amid positive air temperatures and abundant precipitation active vegetation of winter wheat continues, World of NAN reports with reference to Kazhydromet.
At the observed sites in Almaty region the condition of winter wheat is good, the phase of development "tillering". The average height of plants is 5-9 cm, the number of plants per 1m² is 300 pcs (weather station Kyrgyzsai).
In Zhambyl region winter wheat is in the phase "3rd leaf" - "tillering", the condition is good everywhere. Average height reaches 7-17 cm, average number of plants per 1m² is 89-101 pcs.
In Turkestan region the condition of winter wheat is good, the phase of development "tillering" - "coming out of the tube", near the weather station Aul T. Ryskulov the phase of development "3rd leaf". The height of plants reaches 8-16 cm. The average number of plants is 323-379 pcs.
In the south and southeast, moisture availability of winter crops on the last day of the decade in the arable layer of soil was optimal from 37 mm to 52 mm and in the meter layer from 173 mm to 441 mm of moisture reserves.
Under favorable conditions in the observed areas of Almaty, Zhambyl and Turkestan regions after preliminary soil tillage sowing of spring cereals began everywhere. At early sowing dates "sprouts" of spring barley appeared, the condition of plants is good.
