An employee of the Food Contract Corporation demanded a bribe and was imprisoned

The director of the regional representative office of the National Company Food Contract Corporation JSC was sentenced in Kostanay, World of NAN reports with reference to the press service of the court.

Money, according to the case materials, he received from the deputy general director of a large agro-industrial holding Olzha Agro LLP.

In June 2023, Prodcorporation received an application from the LLP for a commodity loan of 100,000 tons of crop seeds. The defendant concealed from the JSC and the coordination council of the Kostanay region the information that the LLP did not meet the requirements for the loan. In early July, he demanded a bribe of 350,000 tenge from the deputy director of Olzha Agro for general patronage and assistance in obtaining a commodity loan.

In the courtroom, neither the deputy director of LLP, nor the head of the regional representative office of JSC did not admit guilt. The bribe-taker was sentenced to 3.6 years of imprisonment, the deputy director of the LLP - 3 years. Both of them were deprived of the right to hold positions in public service for life.
