The subsidizing of sugar beet harvesters may be doubled

Today, the state partially subsidizes the cost of sugar beet cultivation, as well as subsidizes the products delivered to factories. In 2021, beet growers in the regions received a total of about 3 billion tenge, reports World of NAN.

The norm of subsidizing in 2022 increased by 3 thousand tenge and amounted to 15 thousand tenge per ton of sugar beet delivered for processing. Plants also buy raw materials at 15 thousand tenge per ton. In total, agrarians receive 30 thousand tenge.

"In 2023, thanks to an increase of the subsidy rate from 15 to 25 thousand tenge, sugar beet growers will sell a ton of their product for 40 thousand tenge. Thus, the profitability of sugar beet will be brought to the level of other crops, "- noted in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

In addition, the list of investment subsidies to stimulate the development of the sugar industry will include the construction of new sugar refineries, 25% of capital investment will be reimbursed by the state.

"The question of increasing from 25% to 50% of the reimbursement rate for the purchase of sugar beet harvesters and irrigation equipment is also being worked out. The new subsidy rules are expected to take effect in 2023", - we were told by the relevant department.
