Melt water will be used in agriculture

The Integrated Water Resources Development Plan for 2024-2030 will be amended, World of NAN reports citing the Ministry of Water Resources.

The 2024-2030 water management development framework was approved in February.

"We need to develop a plan to utilize melt water for agriculture. After the end of the flood period, all reservoirs should be filled to 100%, but water collection should take place without damage to water management facilities," Water Resources Minister Nurzhan Nurzhigitov emphasized.

He also noted the importance of interaction between the Ministry and local executive bodies.

"I talked about it during my trips to the regions, it is necessary to interact more actively with local executive bodies and other agencies. And not only during floods, but all year round. After all, water reservoirs are not only under the jurisdiction of the Ministry, but also on the balance sheet of akimats", - summarized the Minister.
